inspire+ apprentices receive awards
Two of our apprentices scooped prestigious awards recognising the impact of their work. Deneil Thomas is currently completing a level 2 Community Activator Coach at West Grantham CE Primary Academy. He was awarded the ‘Partner Apprentice of the Year’ at the Inspire Education Group Student Awards 2023. Deneil’s mentor and teacher at his school, Dale Kitchen said “I have seen a substantial evolution from a nervous, fast-talking teenager to a confident young professional. His ability to develop rapport and relationships with pupils, staff and parents has been a joy to watch.”
Declan Brown works at Scampton Church of England School and was completing the level 3 Community Sport & Health Officer apprenticeship. Declan previously completed the Level 2 Community Activator Coach apprenticeship with Inspire+, achieving a distinction. Declan and Deneil were shortlisted for the Lincolnshire Apprentice Champion at the annual Lincolnshire County Council apprenticeship awards ceremony. Declan not only won the Education category but also won the overall Apprentice Champion for Lincolnshire. This was out of 43 shortlisted apprentices, an unbelievable achievement! Charlie Hebborn, Headteacher at Scampton Primary stated in his nomination “Pupils learn well because Declan inspires them and is a great role model.”
inspire+ have been training apprentices since 2017 when given the remit to do so by schools, were also nominated for the Lincolnshire Apprenticeship Training Provider Champion. Vincent Brittain, CEO of Inspire+, said “We are honoured that our work we do with developing apprentices was recognised by being shortlisted. However, we are even more thrilled that the impact both Declan and Deneil have in their respective schools have been recognised through the awards they received. They represent the many inspire+ trained apprentices across the East of England that support their schools so well and achieve so much positive impact for the benefit of the children.”
