Josh Seddon

I am a passionate individual who desires to pass on my coaching/teaching knowledge and provide students with opportunities to succeed in their future careers. I have worked in the education and coaching industry for the last six years. My journey into the sector started when I worked as a community sports coach with Lincs Inspire. This opportunity inspired me to work with children and young people as it allowed me to maximise students sporting potential in school.

I then attended Sheffield Hallam University, where I studied Sport and Exercise Science. While at university, I continued my role as a Community Sports Coach, working in different primary and secondary settings delivering PE lessons and after-school clubs. Additionally, I began to complete my football coaching badges and was fortunate to secure a coaching role at Sheffield United football academy. This role included me working across several different age groups a provided football tailor PE lessons in local primary and secondary schools.
After graduating from university, I secured a football coaching role working as a coach for Juventus Academy in Bahrain, where I worked for three years. This involved me working with athlete athletes delivering Juventus philosophy-tailored football sessions. In addition to this role, I also worked as the education lead, working with primary and secondary schools and universities to deliver Juventus-tailored football programmes.

Working as the academy’s educational lead ignited my passion for working in education full-time. So, in 2019 I returned home to complete my teaching qualifications. I then secured a role as a sports tutor for Grimsby Institute for Further Education, where I worked as a sports tutor delivering on the level 3 BTEC sports programme. I was then fortunate enough to join the amazing team at inspire+ in 2021, where my role now is to oversee the Level 2 programme for both the Grimsby and East riding cohorts and lead the Level 3 Community Sports and Health Officer programme.
