Level 4 – Sports Coach Programme
Tell us a bit about yourself.
Hi, I’m Max, and I’m doing the Level 4 – Sports Coach Programme with inspire+. My interests are mainly sport-based; I’ve always been interested in teaching, so when the applications for this apprenticeship opened, I was excited by the opportunity. I have experience working with children during high school when I was involved in leading sport lessons for my sports studies GCSE. I aim to either maintain a teaching career or get into sports journalism.
Why did you choose to be an inspire+ apprentice?
I thought it would be a brilliant opportunity to get into a teaching role as I have always been interested in it. I also think it would be an excellent way to start my career, as I feel I’m better at learning on the job.
What did you learn during your apprenticeship?
How to adapt my skills while instructing children in sport. And how to different lesson types and adjust the lesson for different skill gaps.
What did you enjoy about your apprenticeship?
Learning while on the job
Do you recommend other people to become an inspire+ apprentice? Explain why.
Yes. I have done it as I think it’s a great experience.
