Michaela Duggan

For as long as I remember, sport and physical activity have always been a staple part of my life, and from the age of 16, I discovered my love of dance! Just one year later, I decided to move out of my family home to complete my professional training. Following this, I was fortunate enough to travel around the world performing on cruise ships, at international dance competitions, weddings, car launches, etc.

In-between dance jobs, I always found my way back to where I started- The Beth Creswell School of Dance! I started supporting with the teaching of classes, and Beth encouraged me to complete my dance teacher training. In 2011, I qualified under the IDTA and was honoured to be awarded the John Dilworth Scholarship out of 720 individuals.

In 2013, I was lucky enough to secure a job working for inspire+ as a Specialist Dance Coach in Primary and Secondary Schools, and I haven’t looked back since!
Since then, my role has adapted and changed in line with the charity’s expansion- I am now the Resource Manager at inspire+ and responsible for the charity finances, management of the specialist coaching programme, HR and payroll.
