Schools Inspired by Sarah Outen MBE

Inspire+ recently launched its annual Legacy Tour, which over the next 5 months will visit all the Inspire+ Schools in South Kesteven. This year’s tour is focusing on one of the charities Ambassadors, local adventurer Sarah Outen MBE.

Sarah is currently completing the challenge of London to London via the world using human power only! Sarah started this adventure in 2011 setting out from Tower Bridge London and has since rowed, kayaked and cycled East from London across Europe, Asia and the North Pacific to Alaska.

Sarah is currently cycling from Alaska across Canada and as part of the Inspire+ Legacy Tour assembly, which gives children an insight into Sarah’s adventure and the challenges she faces, they receive a live satellite call with Sarah to ask her some of their own questions.

The Legacy Tour is facilitated by Inspire+ and assisted by the schools Bronze Young Ambassadors. Schools are also set the challenge of how many miles can then cycle in 24 hours, to see which school gets closest to the thousands of miles Sarah will be covering!
